Golden Pendant 2012 Winner Is More Joyous

More Joyous has won the Group 3 Golden Pendant at Rosehill Gardens Racecourse last Saturday September 29, 2012.

The champion mare won the race by two and a half lengths in front of Skyerush, who placed second, and Forarainyday, who passed the post in third place.

More Joyous has now won 21 of her 28 race starts and has earned more than $4.46 million in prize money.

She will now head to the Group 1 Toorak Handicap at Caulfield racecourse on October 13, 2012, before going on towards the Cox Plate on October 27, 2012.

There is also talk the mare may even be sent to the Melbourne Cup 2012 if she wins the 2012 Cox Plate later in the month.

More Joyous was paying odds of $1.05 to win the 2012 Golden Pendant at bookmaker.com.au.

Owner John Singleton was thrilled with More Joyous’ latest race win.

”She is the best horse I have had. To have owned and bred her is just a dream,” Singleton said.

Trainer Gai Waterhouse was also over the moon with the 2012 Golden Pendant result.

”I’m just blessed to have such a good team at the moment, it is [a] pleasure to be around horses like More Joyous and Pierro,” she said.
